Because your claim doesn't seem to apply to the defintion of a non sequitur. How do you define the term?

What are you basing this on?

Commonly accepted definition of the term.
Again...how do you define the term.? Your answer may shed insight into your question.

Huh. Interesting. How do you determine "commonly accepted"?

support this. Trump would be betraying paleoconservatives going with a Bush era neocon who actually still thinks Iraq was a good idea and Dick Cheney is like Mother Theresa.

Dictionaries..long excepted phrases of communication forms etc.
What does the term "commonly excepted" mean to you?

Don't know. Go ahead and give it a try. Report back!
What method do you use to make sure you're speaking using understandable language?

What method should I use?

I have no opinion on other peoples methods and basis of communicating. I assume that thru trial and error an intelligent person comes to use the methods that prove to be the most effective. Don't you agree?
That said, the question wasn't what I think one should use, but what systemyou use.
Care to share?
