Can we sue Ford, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Honda etc for drunk family members killed by drunk drivers ?

fricking pathetic. I wish I was a judge. This shite would be thrown out with the quickness, but not too quick as to not let these fools get a good arse chewing for the ridiculous suit

They should sue the construction company that built the school too. They are just a "liable" as the gun manufacturer.

This is how they'll take away guns.
Lawyers kill off general aviation. It's a damn shame, too.

Why the fricking gun manufacturers??????

Money. It’s as simple as that. You don’t sue individual policemen and women or even the department. You find who has the deepest pockets and make them them responsible for the atrocity. Then get a sympathetic jury and count your millions.

Again, if the actual transfer of the weapon doesn’t occur until after the legal age already established under federal law, what’s the issue here?

The issue is if an underage person can order a firearm.

If you can sue a gun manufacturer for gun crimes - does that mean you can sue Louisville Slugger if someone kills somebody with a baseball bat?

Remember that door didn't latch and lock correctly. Door lock manufactures are going to be liable for break-ins.

I guess I’m just failing to see how this is an “issue.”

Again, assuming this information is correct, all that would be accomplished would be to select the particular model, caliber, color, etc. of a firearm and then it would be sent to the FFL who is handling the transfer and held until the person can legally pass the NICS check. It’s essentially layaway of an item.

Ramos wasn't underage. And the delivery had to occur via a FFL. It's nothing like Amazon delivery.

Wonder what brand of shoes he was wearing. Should sue them too.

So when ordering guns online or even by phone the company doesn't ask said buyer if they are 18? Something tells me they do.

It makes no difference. They could be 12. They transfer still has to go through a FFL--who will check their age.

They need to sue the automobile manufacturer that made the auto that transported him to the scene. Maybe the shoe company that made the shoes he was wearing

Daniel Defense webpage
We are deeply saddened by the recent tragic events in Texas. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families and community devastated by this evil act.

As reported in Governor Abbott’s press conference, it is our understanding that the firearm used in the attack was manufactured by Daniel Defense. We will cooperate with all federal, state, and local law enforcement authorities in their investigations.

We will keep the families of the victims and the entire Uvalde community in our thoughts and our prayers.

Is there a point here? I’m sure DD, like most manufacturers, has a pop up that asks the age of the person accessing the website. I still think you’re confused as to the process to ship a firearm across state lines i.e. it must go to an FFL prior to transfer.
