work to do and concern to be had regarding affordability and day-to-day quality of life issues. There is a lot of fear and unhappiness in the ether. And I get it...Trump can't just "lower prices" but the DIM's have seized that political talking point and are using it effectively. The republicans need to strike while the iron is hot bc they will not likely keep hold of WH/Congress in 2026.
47 deserves all the credit he should get for ending wars in Gaza/Israel (maybe in Russ/Ukraine) but those are in far away lands and not a quality of life issue here.
47 deserves all the credit for blowing up drug boats but those are in far away waters and in reality don't impact quality of life issues here.
The stock market is going gangbusters but that is overshadowed by fear/layoff headlines regarding AI. The "K Shaped" economy is getting more and more pronounced and that will not end well. Richer getting richer and poorer getting poorer (mostly because of their own terrible decisions) is not a recipe for success.

I'll make a couple rebuttals just in sake of fairness, though I'm not disagreeing with your overall argument at all.
The money our Congress decides to give to Israel, Gaza and Ukraine most certainly affects us right here at home, though many people are too ignorant to see the correlation.
Cutting off the drug supply at the source, certainly is a huge boon to America and saves us from spending more resources on combating it AFTER it's already here, and does a lot to affect the bottom line of the criminal organizations that are already well established on American soil. But you can't convince ignorant people that it's a victory, when the sky screaming TDS crowds are all over socials spewing the narrative that "bLuMpF iS bLoWiNg uP FiShiNg BoAtS!!1!1!", and the average American sees it and believes it without bothering to fact check it.

Yep.
We've reached a point where the stock market and unemployment rates will be going the same direction.
Automation and AI are the main reason but you cant judge the economy anymore with just the market.
