The Panama courts have ruled that China's CK Hutchison cannot own the ports on each side of the Panama Canal.

Control of the two ports equals control of the Panama Canal. The port owner controls logistics, inspections, priority of access, etc.

The billionaire owner of CK Hutchison was trying to sell the ports during 2025, because he realized the writing was on the wall. He had a deal to sell the ports to an American group, but China's govt blocked the sale.

Now the Panama courts have simply declared the ownership by CK Hutchison (China) to be unconstitutional and have taken away the ports. Now CK Hutchison will receive $0.00. The Chinese govt lost everything.

Also, Trump/Rubio negotiated a deal with Panama so that the US Navy no longer has to pay any fees to use the Panama Canal and also gets priority access for any US Navy ships that need to get thru the canal.

"We built the Panama Canal." Trump correctly pointed out that Panama owes a huge debt to the USA for having built the Panama Canal. The USA deserves special access forever.
