Having seen the movie and read the book, I’m not particularly impressed with either.

Granted, that’s probably the buildup of its hype over time and then watching/reading and being severely underwhelmed.

Well when you think of Watergate, coverup is the first thing that comes to mind. That's where you have to start with that statement. Secondly, that text reads to me as sarcasm, but it certainly gives some insight into what they are thinking. My feeling, taking into account the date of the text is that it is a reference to impeaching Trump.

The inference is clearly her intrigue about getting a President impeached.


This is a smoking gun insight into their bias against Trump. They were literally wanting to figure out how to impeach him before even conducting an investigation.

So much so that she's watching a movie about a President being impeached to fuel the fantasy.
