I'm amazed you took it three ways but I meant in how Spacey's character literally made up things off the wall.

You dumb frickers don't think that Trump had a major hand in crafting this bill.

He had his people involved and approving what was going on at each step.

I interpeted as a person who cared only for himself but tricked a bunch of ignorant goofballs to do it all for him. Plus law enforcement is gullible, which is why he chose Law And Order Jeff Sessions.

I guess I was wrong.

can you expound on this please

Who actually directs the spending and makes the decisions about when and where the money is spent? If I'm not mistaken it's the treasury department. President Trump got his military funded and some say he plans to use the corps of engineers to build the wall. Whether that's so or not the bill that passed was not a budget. It was a spending bill. This is not earth shattering.

The Q thread isn't "some say"

The movie always annoyed me because there was no way of knowing what was truth and what was not, given that the penultimate scene showed that the character names were fake and taken from the wall, but the final scene shows the lawyer character picking up Spacey. Also I last watching the movie like 20 years ago so I don't remember anything about it other than those final two scenes.

The people with the power of the purse who just created the 2018 Omnibus APPROPRIATIONS Act?

So you think the treasury is just given money and has full authority to do what wants with it?

President Trump got his military funded
How can you know this if the treasury decides where sns how it’s spent?

It was a spending bill. This is not earth shattering.
And spending was specifically appropriated to specific departments, projects, etc. The treasury can't decide to spend it elsewhere.

As a matter of National Security I've signed the Omnibus Spending Bill. I say to Congress: I will NEVER sign another bill like this again

Oh god, he doubled down on this lameness instead of owning the bill. He's such a weak negotiator.

To prevent this omnibus situation from ever happening again, I'm calling on Congress to give me a line-item veto for all govt spending bills!

Like that'll ever happen.

This is another time that people underestimate Trump. Hell come out on top again. He handed them the rope and they tied the knot in it and put it over their own head.

For whatever reason, Trump was disinterested and never really got involved with this bill.

Congress took advantage of that and backed backed him into a corner. Either he vetos it, and get blamed for the shutdown, or he signs it.

He's trying to save face by asking for a line item veto, which there is no way he will get.

Alphas usually can't be backed into a corner, but if they are, they just use it for extra force when they fight back. And if they lose they don't whine and ask for the rules to be changed so they can win next time.

Signing this is by far the worst thing he's done yet MSM are more worried about him pounding some chicks 20 years ago.

Talk about a terrible week of decisions:

1. Tarrifs and investment restrictions, which caused the market to suffer, and will likely incease costs on consumers.

2. His first major policy to address drug problems by allowing dealers to be eligible for the death penalty. This may unconstitutional and if definitely won't address the problems.

3. Billion dollar arms deal with Saudi Arabia, a country that is the breeding ground for ISIS, Al-Qaed, and the Jihadist who won't is wiped off the earth.

4. Picks John Bolton, a major face of the neoconservative mentality that helped cause many of the geopolitical problems we face today.

5. Signs a huge and always irresponsible spending bill, with some unnecessary non-spending inclusions thrown in their to top it off.

While a terrible week, it's a good week to easily pick out the hacks: those who defend him unconditionally and those who focus on salacious stuff instead of substantive, even though there is one thing of substance to criticize.

I’m with you. trump. What a Beta. I was going to go back and correct the lower case, but it’s appropriate for his new Beta status.

Dems don't need to do much spinning.

When you're slitting your own wrist, you rarely need someone pushing your hand holding the knife.
