He's trying to say that because Trump referred to Dorian as a hurricane (which it was on sunday) that he's a liar because, even though the NOAA showed parts of Alabama in the tropical storm probability track as late as Monday, they didn't say that Alabama would see "hurricane force" winds. As if hurricanes creep hundreds of miles inland without losing wind speed.

You’ve resorted to spinning the fricking wind velocity to try and save face, for frick’s sake.
On Aug. 30th and before, the NWS was projecting Dorian crossing Florida and heading into the Gulf. By heading into the Gulf, the premise was it would retain its hurricane status force winds and pound southern Alabama in the process.
The video I posted of Trump had him showing one of those maps and he even explicitly said, “...we thought it was going to cross Florida and go into the Gulf, but instead it shifted and went north.”
So yes, there absolutely was originally a bunch of projections of Alabama getting hit with hurricane force winds.

This was also the day AFTER Trump’s original tweet that was based on a map showing a much greater chance of Alabama being hit by stronger winds.
This one from the day before, showing Dorian heading straight towards Alabama, was what Trump was basing his original remarks on.

There was nothing even remotely wrong or controversial about the Sunday tweet.
This only became a thing because some screamer at the NOAA and the freaks at CNN have TDS. This is like that media frick who melted over the presidential labor day declaration without checking to see that all presidents declare labor day. Same TDS, different day.
