Oh ffs... the entire Middle East and most of North Africa are just arbitrary lines drawn on a map by European powers (mostly England) post-WW1 and 2... people seem to forget, just over 100 years ago, the entire area was all part of the Ottoman Empire. So how about we "give back" Jorday, Syria, Israel, Egypt, Libya, and Iraq to Turkey... what a ridiculous "argument."

If Jews get into the genocide business, they throw away the biggest card they have in negotiating everything since WWII.

If the Palestinians reject this latest plan unilaterally, then Israel should conclude there is no satisfying them and thus give them the boot. Force them all out of Israel and ship them all to war-torn Syria where they can expire at their own pace.

Do you think the Middle East would be the mess that it is today if Israel was never created in 1948?

Would this make Palestine the only state/country completely surrounded by another country?

That is the point of this plan. No one could read it and think it was a real way to peace. The Palestinians could earn some goodwill by saying, yes we will negotiate, but only if this plan is the absolute basement of the agreement. They won't do that, because there is a massive lack of trust on both sides.

By including stipulations that Kushner knew the Palestinians would reject outright, he will attempt to portray them as unreasonable, but it was never an honest attempt at negotiating. The Israelis want to annex the West Bank like they want to, and they should, as long as they integrate the Palestinians completely as citizens. The latter aspect is always going to be massively tricky, because of Israeli demographic concerns. The Palestinian population has grown by something like 77 percent since 1997, and continued growth like that means that they will outnumber non-Orthodox Jews within the next decade. The fact that Haredi Jews don't generally participate in civic life or military life, have high birth rates, and have generally mixed feelings about Zionism and the state of Israel itself, means that annexing the Palestinian territories and absorbing the Palestinians as a people is going to be extremely complicated, even though it is the only realistic way forward.

It's functionally impossible to move 5 million people by force. Massively complicated, time-consuming, and requires willing states. Syria, Jordan, and Egypt would never agree, and thus this is a non-starter. The best they can hope for is to force migration to the Gulf or the West.

Yasser Arafat, the renowned terrorist "leader" of the PLO, was Egyptian. The people on the ground are the ones that always get screwed but the "Palestinians" are a made up people that have never developed or created a state or country.

Hamas Minister Fathi Hammad admitted, “Brothers, half of the Palestinians are Egyptians and the other half are Saudis.”

In 1977, Zuheir Mohsen, PLO Executive Council member said, “The Palestinian people does not exist…. The creation of a Palestinian state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of Israel…. It is only for political and tactical reasons that we speak today about…the existence of a distinct ‘Palestinian people’ to oppose Zionism.”

Again, the Muslims and Dems rewrite history to attack the Israel.

This has long been concluded. This is about the destruction of Israel and nothing else.

The fact remains Palestinians occupied the land for thousands of years and hundreds before European Jews started migrating there. It doesn't matter what flag was waving the Palestinian people existed on that land before the Zionist project commenced.

I think the grandparents and great-grandparents of the current Israeli citizenry would say otherwise.
