Having spent a lot of time in Israel I look at that map and realize there's really no other way to clean it up and make it neat .... but sheeeeeeeeshus at the security headaches and travel issues that are going to continue.

The Palestinians are getting some primo land there though ... they will not be happy.

Such a fricked up situation. Most Americans cannot begin to understand the issues over there.

Jesus, just let Israel take the gloves off and utterly destroy them.

Of course they won't be happy.

"Will there still be Jews left alive under this plan?"

Unfortunately yes.

"frick that."

The Palestinians are getting fricked, they will exist in isolated cantons, with no viability under continued Israeli control of most aspects of their existence.

Anyone that thinks they will get anything but the dregs, without full autonomy is dumb. The colonization process will continue till they are gone.

Ole DJT with the sense of humor as always...

Those terrorist douches are going to get right on building up that "high tech manufacturing" zone...

Agreed.

Also, agreed, even though I believe the settlements are a bad idea long term for Israel and do nothing but invite conflict.

Pals aren’t going anywhere, in fact, their numbers are only increasing. They are rapidly outbreeding the Israelis. Israel would need to exile them all to stop Palestinians from eventually massively outnumbering Israelis.

Reminder: there's NEVER been a "Palestinian state."

This plan gives them one, or at least a plan to one of them throw Hamas out.

There’s always been a Palestinian state, it’s called Jordan.

Would be awesome if they could keep the Palestinians out.

Why didn't Jordan take them (I mean, they are Jordanians, after all, as we would use that modern term)?

Or Egypt?

Or Saudi?

Or Kuwait?

Or Syria?

Or Iraq?

Nobody wants them...

They're not that good with rockets but they can dig tunnels and yell "aloha atthebar" or something like that. Muslims, hard to understand them.

That map will be rejected by the Palestinians out of hand. They’re not going to accept non contiguous cantons, or such a small share or the territory.

The Palestinians are the dregs of the Arab world. They're like gypsies in Europe - no one wants them. Not even Jordan wants them. They're lucky the glorified squatters are getting anything at all.

The Palestinians are the people who have lived in the Holy Land since antiquity. They are the Jews that didn’t leave, that converted to Christianity, and were eventually Arabised in the centuries following the conquest.

They are one of the oldest extant Christian communities left. The invasion of Iraq destroyed that community, and our jihadist allies in Syria did their best to exterminate the Christians in Syria. The Christianity community in Syria thankfully survived that, and the government has done good work, rebuilding churches and supporting the return of Christian refugees.

What you wrote, speaks poorly of your character and nature.

Consider what happens when you replace the word Palestinians with Jews, in your post.

they serve purposes.

If you just integrated them 3 generations ago there would be no reminder it happened.
That would be giving up. They are all at war vs israel.
Im a jew. Israel was mainly taken by force of arms.

The holocaust deniers do that to eliminate the argument that the euro jews needed their own safe place.

The proposal map ignores the wish for a contiguous place.
Hamasville is 3 plots.

Its weird to me that bibi and trump are both basically indicted and doing this publicity stunt.

In Arabic, the past tense covers everything from two minutes ago, to 5,000 years ago. And unless you specify exactly when something occurred in past, you’re left with the impression that it didn’t occur very long ago at all.

Language shapes perception.

To the Arabs, Israel came into existence yesterday, and the Crusades didn’t happen all that long ago either.

I think that cultural and linguistic bias shapes their continuing attitudes to Israel. There is a sense that Israel is just a temporary situation, and one that will eventually go away.

And maybe they’re not wrong.

The Crusader state that my ancestors built was gone almost as quickly as it came.
