Ehh, not exactly.

Oil production is nice, but oil exploration and drilling is where areas like Houma, Morgan City, Lafayette, etc really pop.

you joke but, i remember that microorganisms consume and degrade the oil. it's just interesting that what some see as a huge disaster is actually a boon for something else
