A little off topic, but I have a jar of crude on my desk that is pure green in color. It makes for a nice conversation piece.

The crude oil from the Lagrange, TX oilfield was bluish and looked just like motor oil for a car. It's long been depleted

It's the only time that refineries are actually profitable is why. They make next to no money on gasoline otherwise, or diesel for that matter.

No, I said we had no plan for the Straight. Seems true since a decimated country is able to control it and use it to get us to end the military campaign.

Hopefully, they don't spill anymore. Looks like it may turn costly for LOOP with that spill in February.

I think you have a Pres that's gonna put pressure on suppliers to lower the prices as soon as their input cost goes down.

What does LOOP have to do with this? Mars comes via pipeline from Gulf of Mexico production. It is not heavy but has a high residuals, aka asphaltenes fraction.

It doesn't work that way at all. There isn't any increase in onshore drilling due all the oil companies knew this would be short term. They don't like losing money and price before was not profitable enough to drill more.

Correct. Maybe with enough education you could explain to people why prices got so high during the Biden administration.
