UAE building another pipeline is very significant and latest reports says it is 50% complete. Any decrease in the percentage of oil coming out of the SOH decreases the significance of the SOH, decreasing Iran's power.

HUNTING SEASON ON THE IRGC?
A police officer was shot dead today in Iran's southeastern Sistan-Baluchestan province after armed assailants opened fire on his way to work.
Iran identified the victim as Mohammad Palangi, a Sunni Baluch police officer, and says a manhunt is underway.
The attack comes as unrest and armed resistance continue to simmer in one of Iran's most volatile regions, placing additional pressure on the regime's security apparatus.

The U.S. House rejected a Democratic war powers resolution that would have required Trump to remove American troops from hostilities in Lebanon.
The measure, introduced by Rep. Rashida Tlaib, failed. 22 Democrats opposed it and 2 Republicans supported it.
House Democratic leaders argued the resolution was unnecessary, saying no U.S. troops are currently engaged in combat in Lebanon.

Feels like the slowest 48 hours of news since the conflict started.

It seems that the war ended with yesterday’s SCOTUS decision.
News seems to have vanished.

Looks like we are going to be engaged with Iran with tit for tat strikes until after midterms.

Despite reports that POTUS was considering relaunching a campaign against Iran, US Air Force B-52 Stratofortresses and EA-37 Compass Calls are presently on the way back to US soil indicating that forces that were surged to Europe and the Middle East are now being sent home.

Trump informed his aides of no objection to exceeding the August 18 deadline (60 days) to reach a nuclear agreement with Iran - US officials
As I said before, he is going to allow them to drag this out waaay past 60 days. Iran will never agree to disarm and Qatar will make sure we don't raze the Islamic Republic to the ground.

Qatar-based sources report that Iran has secured firm security guarantees during this week's high-stakes indirect talks with the U.S. in Doha, ensuring that its officials and top military commanders will not be targeted during the upcoming funeral of late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

A lot of the UAE's pipeline infrastructure traverses a large mountain range which makes targeting it by the IRGC difficult. Anything not going through that mountain range I assume will be hardened against at least drone attacks.

The World Cup knock-out rounds have begun. The US is still alive.
Also, there is a huge holiday weekend looming. You may have heard something about it.

Looks like the USN is now escorting ships that take the alternate route near Oman. Despite the X posts claims, other ships are still taking the Iranian traffic route as well.

Asked whether Ali Khamenei had named someone in his will to lead the funeral prayers, Elahi said: “No, he didn’t mention anyone to lead the prayers and actually if the condition was good, the new supreme leader is the one who is going to lead the people for the Salat and prayer.”
“But unfortunately the condition is not good,” he added. “They have very, very advanced technology and they can recognize him and they can follow him. Where is he. And it’s very dangerous for him. So because of that he will not come out.”
When the reporter noted that Israel’s defense minister had said Mojtaba Khamenei remained on the hit list, Elahi replied: “Yes, it’s very, very difficult.

How do you “harden against at least drone attacks”?
It’s a serious question, I have no idea.
Miles of pipeline, all you have to do is send a drone swarm and get one direct hit, the pipeline is closed.
Iran just hit an area in Iraq with drones, seems pretty clear that no one has been able to stop them. And that’s not including ballistic missile launches.
