This is like a boxer saying he's too afraid to get punched. The President meets dozens of people before he even has lunch, maybe more. Imagine having a President that fragile, and how it sets up our enemies to simply get him sick.
Joe needs to sack up and hit that debate stage.
I understand why Trump doesn't want to do a virtual debate. The media already controls the entire narrative, they would absolutely frick Trump in that manner.
But to not debate in person is just a huge red flag that he's a bitch.

The debate stage favors Biden. Both suck by themselves:
Trump’s coked-out stream-of-consciousness word salad plays well with his frothing base—who only hear the buzzwords—but does nothing for him (positively) for anyone else.
Biden’s relaxed and overly-rehearsed exhaustingly repetitive “classic” political soundbites don’t do much for him either.
But in a debate setting all Biden has to do is sit and wait for Trump to gleefully jump into the noose and hang himself. Over. And over. And over.
So if you’re being honest with yourself you all know this is Trump. He’s found himself in a position where he can’t bully or intimidate his opponent and he doesn’t know what to do.
ETA: the schadenfreude here is just delicious, btw. For months the loons have been swearing up and down that Biden and his camp were too pussy to debate and fricking trump cancels it. Just magic.

MSM tries to frame the debate in a manner as to silence Trump, including floating the idea that they should be able to mute microphones.
When Trump disagrees, they say they should put it online where, who knows what could happen? Maybe Trump's connection falters and Biden is free to talk for the entire time he's not there to defend himself. This puts all of the power, specifically, into whoever is hosting the debate and I have the sneaking suspicion that if it was a Fox News host who was an avowed Conservative (let's say Tucker Carlson) the Biden Camp would be howling.
This is like telling someone: You have to fight with one hand behind your back and if you don't you're a coward.
Trump wants to fight the conventional way, the way it's been done for years. Biden wants to hide in his lil' bunker because of the big old scary icky COVID.
Biden is a kid-sniffing bitch, and I'm sorry you had to find out this way.
