I despise Mamdani and everything he stands for but this is probably out of context. My daughter lives in Manhattan. When the snow hits the garbage trucks are converted to snow plows. They got over 12" this week. It has always amazed me that they put their garbage on the sidewalk every night and people just walk by it like it is a normal thing...

Please do not think I am defending that SOB.

NYC always has trash on the streets, especially after a snowstorm which delays trash pickup. Same as always, inevitable when you fill in all alleyways and have no where else to store trash in a densely populated metropolis.

Sister lives in Portland... w/ one garbage pickup every two weeks (and one dumpster/can)... They are instructed to keep their 'meat carcass and scraps', vegetable husks, etc. in their freezer until pickup.

If not frozen, garbage men note it, they are fined.
And yes, she voted for this....

For three years, I was in NYC every month between 2000-2003 for a week of intracompany business meetings. It was a pain in the arse to be out of my territory for a week every month, but I was compensated very well so put up with the hassle. The company encouraged travel into and out of NYC early, and staying late so that there was time to enjoy doing things in the city. I really enjoyed going to NYC back then. Never felt in danger although I've long ago developed head-on-a-swiveI situational awareness as a second sense. Anyway, was there, blocks away from the WTC the day prior to 9-11 and dragged my arse to bed after midnight from the airport, being woken by a call from my worried mom and told to turn on the news. It was surreal.

But since 9-11, I've been back to fly through the airport on business, but I don't stay in or visit the city any longer. Been there/ done that.

It looks like a very cold version of India.

Yes sir. My wife and I were on our 5th anniversary trip and we stopped off at a lil bungalow outside of Centreville, Mississippi and then decided to go to the game last minute. I bought back to my sons a piece of the turf. Nambie pamby Rebels.

Then there is the old man drunk thread he started back in 17 God bless him.
