I always know I have struck a nerve with people when they get so bent out of shape over an opinion different from theirs. It means some deep seated fears have been stirred. That is when it is time to look in the mirror and ask yourself "Why did I get so worked up over that?". That is when you get some true insight into yourself. You have some demons that still need purging, Roger.
