If you look at the chart, it is easy to see where most Christians on the planet live. Only a tiny fraction live in North America and Europe...

Christianity and Judaism are the only two religions most Americans know anything about, and Christianity is the only religion that routinely effects public policy in our country.
It's simply the most visible and relevant belief system to the people doing the attacking. Attacking other religions doesn't help them achieve their legislative goals. On the contrary, most religious minorities in this country (Muslims, Hindus, Jews, buddhists, etc.) vote democrat.
