Not part of his “current” plan. I don’t see how an acceptable regime change happens without ground troops in some capacity. The power vacuum we’re creating there is going to be taken advantage of by terror groups unless we supervise the change on the ground, and we all know how that will unfold.

People forget that Bush and Cheney initially thought troops would be there 2-3 months. After the ground invasion, troops were told not to act as police, that their job was the regime change and then go home. After looting and chaos, the Shias and al-Sadr filled the void, and we had to commit more troops.

The admin not ruling out boots on the ground is bad news

Not telling your enemies/press exactly what you have planned is smart

Makes sense. What we have learned over time is that no matter how benevolent you are the locals will come to resent you. Plus the crazies will always hide out and use IEDs and set up ambushes, etc..to inflict casualties.

Given the stated goals, explain what is lost if we did exclude boots on the ground. Run through the various permutations.

The only way it would have an impact, logically, is if we have different goals than the stated ones and the admin knows we need boots on the ground, ultimately.

Think about it

I've asked this a few times and only get ad homs and other avoidance.

It's been telling.

What is the regime going to hold out for, exactly, without boots on the ground, if we continue the bombing as part of our stated goals (without boots), that they would not otherwise hold out for?

As I just said above, the inability to respond logically is telling

Ffs every fricking day.
What's is the difference if you don't commit to no boots on the ground.

In other words why the fyck do you have to state no boots?

Like wtf you need a press secretary to state flatt no draft?

It's because you are a clown.

Just read the board (a MAGA dominated one). Many MAGA types are already upset that it's even an option.

Nobody wants Trump to be a hypocrite on this very important policy plank...well other than the neocons and the weird "Christians for Israel" Evangelicals. So many MAGA types don't want him to be a hypocrite in this issue.

ETA: I didn't make this thread, for instance

The people of Iran want freedom more than the people of Iraq and Afghanistan ever did. They seem to be willing to work for it. The people of Iraq wanted us to do all the hard work for them. The Afghans never wanted freedom or democracy in the first place I don’t think. Just seems like in this case the Iranian people are willing to put in the hard work. That’s one thing we never had working for us before.

We did this exact thing with slowdipshit 4 hours ago re: the draft and levity’s conversation.

He pretended he was so stupid he didn’t get that either.

But nobody is this stupid right?

So, if it’s not stupidity then what is it? Just being an obtuse prick just to be one? TDS writ large? Down and out hatred for the normal decisions this county and an admin would make?

None of the options bode well for a basement dwelling shitbird who lives his life pretending to be smart and important on a sub forum.

More inability to respond logically and only respond emotionally and dishonestly.

As I've said 3 times on this page alone, it's quite telling

And the same inability to respond logically existed there. That theme just continues here

Ad homs (dishonesty) with a bit of emotion instead of logic

4 times proven right on this page alone

It’s been explained to you each time. You’re either too stupid or too obtuse to get it ( in addition to being an attention whore).

These are not ad homs. They are statements of fact.
