Ted, you didn't abandon them, they abandoned you, and the other sane Moderates.

Me too. After watching the Democrats coddle the BLM filth and then allow them and the Antifa freaks to burn, loot, and wantonly destroy anything in their path at will this year should be enough to repulse anyone who is concerned about the destruction of this nation.
You are right. It’s sad to see what the party has become. But, I guess once they embraced identity politics this was the natural conclusion

That’s certainly your right as an American. But it’s not right for America.

I occasionally point out that there are no democrats like Danial Patrick Moynihan any more. He was thoughtful. These now only blindly pursue power and hatred of us, which I don't mind because I hate them just as much.

I wish liberals would listen to some of Bill Clinton’s speeches from the 90s. They’d admit he sounds a lot like Trump. Even on immigration.
Absolutely. His speech criticizing Sista Soulja was masterful. But in today’s climate he’d be called a Nazi for giving that speech

How did it feel hating your country for all those years? What brought you around now?

Yes sir. There care a point when I knew the party would not leave its radical left path. I could no longer in good conscience stand for them. I tried my best, even on this board, but a sinking ship is a sinking ship.

He was a good one. You are right with what you said. Even Tip O’Neill and Reagan were friends. That type of gentlemanly politics is long gone.

In today's climate he would have been accused of cultural appropriation for playing the saxophone on Arsenio Hall's show.

Since High School, I was always interested in what's going on in the world around me, so I watched a lot of news. I used to watch the networks and CNN. It always rubbed me the wrong way, even back in the 90's, that most of those channels seemed so hostile to the US and had a negative slant towards everything.
So I started reading laws that passed and various pieces of legislation myself so I could see if they were being honest and they weren't. Then when I started watching FOX, it was a total 180. They seemed to love America and had a positive slant on things that totally differed from other stations. Made me realize very quickly that a lot of people just don't like America and want to change it for, what I feel, is the worse.

I guess my other question is, why don't more centrists dems come to the same realization you did?

1. Ego preventing them from acknowledging they were wrong.
and/or
2. Emotion making them think with their heart and not their brain.
