They used the Dossier in the intel assessment along with "other sources".
Dossier has been disproven.

Durham is going to find that the other "sources" for the assessment were the same as the "sources" for the Dossier.

**Clapper said on CNN that they "had some concern about the Dossier from the standpoint of it's sourcing which they couldn't corroborate but at the same time some of the subsantive content of the dossier they were able to corroborate in the intel assessment from "other sources".

Nah, Russia tried to interfere. They weren’t particularly good at it, but arguing that they didn’t do anything is a self-defeating position.

Unless it wasn't a hack but rather a leak (Seth Rich). And the "insurance policy" was framing Trump & Russia made possible by destroying evidence and having Crowdstrike withold the DNC server.

Seth Rich was murdered July 10th 2016. The FBI met with Steele July 5th and HRC during 4th of July weekend. July 2016 was a very busy month for the DNC and the FBI.

I think the argument is not that Russia didn't interfere whatsoever, rather the extent and effect is what's in dispute.

I agree, which is why I’d rather we keep the focus on the extent and impact of the interference rather than whether or not any interference occurred

Of course Russia tried to interfere, as I’m sure every other country of note on the planet did and always has done. Just like we interfere in the governments of countries everywhere all the time.

Of course the debate gets super heated bc inevitably the insinuation enters in that Trump wouldn't have won without the Russians. The debate goes to shite from there.

But yeah, I think I overheard Hannity the other night even say something very close to "Of course the Russians interfered, just not to the extent yadda yadda"...
