New USC/Dornsife Poll down to Biden +3.76

This is the poll in 2016 that we loved to track because Trump was always up in it in a sea of Clinton +10 polls. But in 2020 USC's had Trump way down to the tune of double digits the whole race. In mid-September it was Biden +10. Now it's down to Biden +3. This is the closest it's ever been. I think this is a pretty significant development.

If Trump can beat Covid quickly and not miss a beat it will help him tremendously

The election hinges on how quickly and easily Trump recovers.

These next few days will be agonizing.

You can see the poll goes is cycles and ebbs and flows with Trump gaining then losing ground. But every Trump support peak is closer to Biden than the peak before. It takes about 15 days for a cycle. At the rate it's been going if there's two more cycles in the poll before election day it'll have Trump tied or even up on election day.

Yes, it shows the reality that Trump is down, but also that the election is closer than imagined.
