I only saw like the last 20 minutes, but they made reference to a girl wearing Al's Marine symbol ring and said that it was his daughter that had been turned down for the program.
Were they talking about the girl paying the "AL" Character now?

Wife and I just finished watching the original series on Roku and thoroughly enjoyed the acting and story lines. Will not watch the remake!

No their story behind the leap is that they didn't know he was going to and he rewrote the code. Their was a stranger helping him and all they saw on the security camera was a female figure and it was wearing Al's ring.
