Seven years after the foundation of our nation. Just another in a long list of conflicts during the history of that continent.

Its not our fight anymore. "Soviets" are not coming back.

The problem is this, these wars have been ongoing for years before May 1803.

England was at war with France before May 1803, 13,000 British, Spanish, Neapolitan and Sardinian troops fought at the Siege of Toulon in 1793.

Nepoleon fought in Italy in 1796 against the Austrians and their Italian allies in the War of the First Coalition. This is the war that made him the leader of France in the future.

Same war is being fought for years, in Egypt Napoleon is fighting a British Ottoman coalition. Britian is allied to the Ottoman Empire to keep the Russians out of Istanbul. The proxy war Britian was running against Russia started around the mid 1700s. Which in turns led to the fiasco in 1914.

Zach knows his history.

One of the fascinating things about the Lewis and Clark expedition, Sacagawea. She takes Pomp her 2 month old with them and they go across the west and back. She has seen several indian tribes, she has seen whites from all aspects. They make it back to the Mississippi and all the crew are astonished at how far up the river "civilization" has moved in the couple of years since they left.

No doubt this was not lost on Sacagawea. She sits down with Clark and discusses this, and then says "I have seen both worlds, yours and mine, I think Pomp would have a better chance in your world"......and she gives the boy to Clark to raise. What insight for a teenage woman, and what a sacrifice.
