We know our intel services didn't work at the behest of Trump and alot of the government (incl intel, DoD) ignored and even worked against him. Israeli govt agencies might have done the same

Another convenient thing is that Israel was on the brink of Civil War in July of this year. Nothing like a tragedy to unite the nation.
