How much do you think childcare costs a month for someone who would need their kid watched while they worked a standard 9-5 salary job?

somewhere between 7 and 10 dollars an hour

There is family to consider

if husband and wife are working, they make enough

but the people who don't have much income are usually single with 3 kids, no dad situations

that's a terrible situation...and it's real I get that...all her earnings go directly to childcare for the day..that's why family is important...get help in the short term, this isn't a long term situation

but I am tired of expecting Government to babysit

our public schools are already that...

headphones
phones, eat breakfast in first period...
sleeping

happens daily in public schools

most of the teachers have given up...they are afraid to take the phones away

If my memory serves me correct, we used to pay 150 a week for 2 kids to be watched..

it was our neighbor and she watch 2 other kids...

I might be wrong...but it was a deal...

I have plenty of students that only get food at breakfast and lunch and the school sends "brown bag" specials of leftovers for students whose families can't afford meals.

Actually kind of sad and something we always take for granted so I buy bags of goldfish, poptarts, and breakfast bars for when the school can't provide those extra meals.
