Cali has roughly 20 million voters

10 million Dems
5 million Reps
5 million No Party etc.

In short, IF legit representation is the goal, that would mean 1/4 of California Reps should be Republican, and 1/2 should be Dem.

1/4 of 52 = 13

That would equate to 5 more seats for the Republicans if drawn correctly.

This is the same lady who said this: "Right now, we have young black kids growing up in the Bronx who don't even know what the word 'computer' is," she said. "They don't know these things."
I suspect that is a microcosm of much worse failure on the part of leadership. Aren't the Bronx AOC's district? Shouldn't she more worried about that than the screaming stomping of feet that does that serves no purpose for the Bronx?

Voters don’t always vote as registered.

And Texas:

Total Registered Voters: 17,323,617
Democrats: 8,054,976 (46.50%)
Republicans: 6,574,201 (37.95%)
Third Party/Other: 0 (0.00%)
Unaffiliated: 2,694,440 (15.55%)

So using your argument, how many seats should Democrats have in Texas and Republicans in Texas?

True.

Nonetheless, Gerrymandering is occurring, and everyone outside of a goose-stepping leftist can see that California drew their lines with a pretty heavy lean towards Dems gaining seats.

It does beg the question, why did Louisiana re-draw its districts to accommodate the Dems?

I understand that race was a factor. Should that not factor within California?

If you haven’t, please see my post. I edited and added Texas.
I don’t agree with gerrymandering, regardless of party.

Same can they said everyone can see that Texas is gerrymandering to favor the GOP.

For anyone interested in context. She specifically talking about gerrymandering. California has threatened to do the same. Redraw their districts. Together they have 78 seats.

Ya see, I believe that people should actually pay attention to the specific words politicians use. Like, they love to lie, but also when they make statements about their intent, a lot of times they actually mean literally what they say. Like when Obama said his mission was to fundamentally change America, he wasn't lying.

So balancing out what California did?

Imho, this is the rare care where a second wrong balances (almost) out the first one.

And Texas:

Right, so lets go by voting:

In California, there are 52 seats, 43D, 9R. so that's 17.3% R.
But 38.3% voted for Trump, and .383x52 = 19.9 R seats, and 58.5% for Harris, so .585*52 = 30.42 D seats. So CA should add 10~11 R seats, and lose 12~13 D seats.

By that count, Texas is already overweight towards R - but not so much. Based on Trump/Harris, they'd lose 3~4 R seats, and have to add ~ 3 D seats.

Accounting for the 52 CA seats vs 38 TX seats, that makes CA ~1.37x larger. So to compare, call the TX 3~4 seats as 4~5. So CA is twice as 'out of whack' as Texas. So even if they redistrict for another 5 R seats, they're getting about even to CA 'out of whack-ness'.

Of course, Districts should be done by algorithm, not by whatever political party is in power.

Landry did it to frick Garrett Graves and to pay off Cleo. Don’t read any more into it than that. It really is that simple.

Yeah, I mean, I don't see it as just the Democrat party - more like just "the establishment" - but agreed. Most dangerous time this country has ever seen other than the civil war.
