Msn does this all the time.
If it's going to draw a lot of conservative responses (i.e. tranny, corrupt libs, anti-semitism, etc) they disable comments.
They censor so much that they're afraid it's going to overwhelm the bots...

Which means the modern function of the media is essentially the exact opposite of what it once was
