RR Electricians Want A Revote
It’s like we’ve seen something happen like this before….
Hmmm… sucks when the leftist union boys are on the losing end.
But this is textbook “eating their own” at its finest.
As a former RR sparky, I can attest that the sentiment is largely against this contract. The link is questionable, but I thought it was worth sharing for a laugh.

Don’t care. They’re union proud.

How did they lose when the majority voted yes

That’s what’s funny. They’re literally at an impasse and they’ll still vote blue. fricking idiots.

“Voter suppression” and other claims.
I think it’s hilarious.

Yep. Wasn’t insulting you. Just making it clear.

Union ppl don’t vote/stay away from politics. They don’t get involved in politics, being union is all that matters. Also it’s a dem function.
Posted on 9/29/22 at 5:39 pm to momentoftruth87
Oh, I know. Downvote away because it’s worthy of nothing but downvotes.
They made their beds, and we’re getting to see another microcosm of far left bullshite at work.

Surely the posters on the Poliboard would not believe a word this website had to say
Unless they can make it fit their agenda.

Union leaders get what they want, period.
A few years back, Mercury Marine had a facility in Stillwater, OK and the union put everything up to a vote to choose whether or not to shutter the doors and move the operation to more Union-friendly territory in Wisconsin.
The vote was taken and tallied, and overwhelmingly resulted in staying in Stilly. The news and employees celebrated (my ex-FIL had worked there for 20+ years). Stillwater was elated.
Somehow, the union shortly thereafter managed to unexpectedly take a second vote, out of the blue. And wouldn't you know it? The second vote had them shutter the doors and move to Wisconsin.
frick unions. That is all.

Best thing about the last deal is that the Biden admin set it up to be major news cycle win, they walked out for no reason on the talks early summer, but Desantis pulled his illegals to MV move the same day.

You got a link for that?
Unions don’t usually get to tell a company they have to close the doors and move, especially in a state like Oklahoma

Who are you refering to? Not RR workers. They have no choice. It's "closed Shop"
You either pay union dues or do not get hired. Can't work unless you pay union dues.
The Union Officials are bought and paid for. The RR workers have great benifits and fair pay compared to some laborers, but the average worker has no say at all in the negoations.

How do you know that?
This isn’t 1960’s and 1970’s Teamsters ran by Jimmy Hoffa.

Meh. Compared to who?
Those guys live out of a flea bag hotel ever other day and the reason they make what they do make is because it’s still a dangerous job that is way more skilled than most laborers. You can’t just hire any bum off the street to be a RR engineer or conductor.

I'd expect socialists to have their fingers on the pulse of what union workers think.

That's not true in right to work states.

Then as I suspected you don’t know what the frick you are talking about. That blog thinks anything short of worker ownership of the RR is not going far enough. So, yeah, what the internet socialist blog and what the Union leadership wants are in no way I’m the same universe.
And if you read you would see that the majority voted yes. So no, they don’t have their fingers on the pulse of the majority.
