That's probably the most objectionable and misleading line in there. I'll give you that. I like how she qualified it with "by some measures".

Is it a loaded statement made for political purposes? Sure.

Is is suggesting government thought control and kids reporting their parents to the government like some here suggested?

I'll leave that up to you guys to decide.

Fixed. It never stops with just noticing, meddling always follows.

She was born in 1964. You think things were the same for black people in the 1970's and in the 2010's?

If you think the 70's and 80's were some hard times for black people then you have no idea what hard is. This actually explains a lot, you must have been a pampered white bitch.

This is right. I know at work and in social settings, usually people of similar races just naturally congregate. You really can't force people to want to be together.

She was accepted into an Ivy League school. Stop acting like she was picking cotton for free in 1978.

This is why the left wants to keep racism alive. It gives them a means of power and gets idiots to support them no matter how intrusive they get.

at 14?

I'll certainly defer to those of you who were alive in the 1970's, but I'm also not going to totally discount her opinion. I was never a black person who was alive in the 1960s and 1970s and 1980s. I don't know what her experience was like, but I'm willing to bet it was slightly different than mine. Therefore, I'd imagine her opinons on race and race relations in America is slightly different than mine.

PS - I wish I had $20 for every liberal hypocrite who has attacked people for sending their children to private schools. One of the most recent idiots whose hypocrisy got exposed was Matt Damon. He was espousing the usual line about racist white people who do this, but then somebody checked and discovered that he sends his kids to private schools, too.

His rationalization for doing so? He said he wanted his kids to receive a liberal education, and public schools aren't liberal enough.

You couldn't make this stuff up, folks.

turning kids on their parents sounds about right, anything to destroy the family unit has to be good for america, right?

So, what year can we decide is the cutoff for black people being allowed to use slavery as an excuse? 1970? 75? 80???

I just want to know what the standard is here. will people 20 years from now be saying exactly what you said abuot the 80s, 90s, and 00s? Will the year Obama was elected to office the first time be a sign that the country no longer looks at skin color, or will the argument be "but the only reason he was elected is he was half-white?" Are we ever going to be done with this garbage and actually move past race?

I don't give a shite what color anyone at a school is. A shite school is a shite school. If I am in a situation where I am able to put my kid in a better school, I don't care what color anyone at either school is... my kid is going to the best school I can comfortably afford.

I am part of the minority. Not a racial minority, but that minority (less than 50%) that actually pays into the tax system. You know... that minority that pays for welfare, food stamps, foreign aid, two wars, and domestic army Obama has been creating.

I am supposed to feel bad about being able to put my kid in a better school (if I can)?

Yes. According to the left, you are part of the problem with education.
