I promise you Abbott is 100% in charge even while he is out of the country. Patrick has got this. They are lock step on this issue.

No. Patrick is on the same page as Abbott on this issue.

I don’t think the White House knows what to do here

There are zero talking points in the media.

100% agree.

The brain trust inside the Beltway Bubble thought that when they "won" at SCOTUS that Texas would sit in the corner and take their "time out".

Now they have to decide if they will stand down or risk escalating what would be paramount to a real insurrection over a bunch of illegal immigrants. Texas has 25 governors on their side. There is no path to a "win" here for this Administration. And they did it to themselves.

And to be clear, this isn't Biden. That doddling old senile fool hasn't made a policy decision beyond grape or strawberry jam on his morning toast in several years. Hell, he was considered "stupid" by the thinking leftists 20 years ago.

It's a little unclear to me who is actually pulling the levers of power for this admin. Many on the forum like to accuse Obama, but I am not convinced of that.

They're probably overstretched too, between Ukraine, Israel, Yemen, and now this.
