Russia and China hate each other's guts but enemies of my enemies are my friends. We really screwed up by driving Russia into China's arms. Russia should be a western ally.
And I suspect a lot of bought and paid for China puppets in the US government and Dem party played a role in ensuring America and Russia did not become allies. Dems with their Russia, Russia, Russia nonsense certainly played a big role.

The Chafee left to de-escalate any potential situation. Chafee is an Arleigh Burke class destroyer and would have easily been able to dispatch anything the Russians tried to throw at it with ease. Of course, with a sniveling weak appeasing piece of shite in the white house, they would probably be ordered to allow themselves to be sunk.

Also Russia is no longer the USSR. Lots of territory, lots of people but not much money. No more subvert the whole world into a marxist utopia. Still rather have them on my side than fighting them.

That destroyer has the ability to wipe out a Russian surface vessel with ease. The RFN's surface fleet absolutely sucks compared to ours and even China's.

I don’t think Russia trusts the Chinese at all. They carry out joint military exercises, and they’ve resolved their border disputes. But for both sides, it’s about countering American power.
