Military using human brain waves to teach robots how to shoot

Who thought this was a good idea? Did any of them ever watch The Terminator movies?

Um.... why the frick would we do this.... remote controlled drones are one thing- ultimately a huge man is pressing the button.

I highly recommend the book Our Final Invention by Barrat. AGI is coming eventually and ASI won't be far behind it. We need a better broad understanding of the extreme costs and benefits that could mean before it occurs. Barrat lays out a strong case for the former. Given the military's investment in the field, it's an eventuality worth preparing for
