Let me tell you how this is going to work
They are eventually going to come take the guns from law abiding tax payers because “angry white men are the real danger”. They won’t be going into the hood looking for guns.

The ATF has been doing that for decades. The difference is the Biden Administration is trying to speed up the process.
The problem to getting the severity of what a federal registry known is too many people think their guns are already "registered". Filling out your 4473 isn't registering your gun. When people think it's no big deal, they are setting themselves up for a rude awakening.
When guns get registered a whole host of restrictions get thrown on you in short order. Go buy any NFA firearm or suppressor and see how bad it gets. The possession rules get real oppressive and make one look into getting a trust. Plan on going somewhere or even moving? You now have to get permission and restart registering to a new location.
And since they will know who has what and where anytime a restriction on types of firearms passes, guess who about to see SWAT at their door?

There may not be a formal registry, but the original purchasers of firearms are already tracked in a system.

Why do people keep reciting this nonsense? No one is going to come to your house to take your gun, they don’t have to. They will ban certain firearms, and make possessing them a felony with severe prison time. All of these “lost” weapons will never be able to be used again, the risk of getting caught will be far too high.
