You do realize that only congress has the power to declare war, right? (This authority remains with congress despite the fact that they have allowed the executive branch to drag us into several endless undeclared wars since the end of WWII.) The War Powers Act has been abused by every sitting president since it was enacted and congress has been quite content to shirk their responsibilities regarding declarations of war.
Quite frankly, I'm surprised that you're not happy to see a move toward returning to constitutionality in our government.
