When I was a kid you were born Republican or Democrat. You didn't wake up one day and "identify" as one or the other. You would often hear older folks say things like "Look at those little democrats running down the street". The world used to be a much simpler place.

The above is perfectly fine apparently. Somehow it is only a problem when red states draw lines. Compare Maryland's map with the "egregious" new map NC is attempting to use and left is panicking over:
