In hindsight, and based on what we now know about how the CIA operates (i.e. not always in the best interests of the people of the USA), it will be difficult to accurately judge the merit of their work involving 11 Sept 01.
We do know that one, and only one, outspoken Intell asset informed mass media that Saddam had no weapons of mass destruction by 2003, and he turned out to be correct.
