White Southern history, you mean.

Polk also had a famous rivalry with General Bragg and continually tried to get Jefferson Davis to relieve Bragg of his command. He was killed while his troops were getting the shite kicked out of them by Sherman because he let them get flanked...and eventually his failure as a leader led to Sherman taking Atlanta.
Ironic. Polk and Bragg had no business leading troops, both were garbage. Polk was Jefferson Davis best friend.
Sherman and Polk spied each other over distance at Marietta. Sherman brought up a rifled cannon and the "Fighting Bishop" lost his head.

This is a very dramatic reaction.... did they delete his name out of all the book?

ironicly, Grant was a drunk, and 10x better as a general for the union,
some of those "leaders" were real morons at the start, too
it seems that incompetency was a requirement of a lot of the leadership during the civil war, both sides (cough politics, cough)
but, also amazing heros that deserve honor,
and to remove statues, names, etc, is erasing history, once again

I guess southern history never happened.
The south lost. There’s your history.

30 years ago they were grumbling about Stone Mountain being chiseled clean. Probably won’t be 10 years before that happens.
