go beyond police, even
we're seeing what the franchise/car sales market is doing to tesla in real time
add in lobbies/unions for cabbies, municipal busses, trains, trucking, etc and you'll see some backlash
i've seen estimates of up to 10M jobs being lost once self-driving cars take off
