anytime a lawyer has billable time they "profit"
so each state they sued hired lawyers to represent the case, the longer the case dragged out, the more billable time those lawyers submitted

i was just responding to the question on lawyers making money. had the judge removed the injunction immediately after the USSC decision, then the current case would have ended. sine she pushed forward for a few days, the plaintiffs and defendants both had to spend more money paying the billable hours that both sides had to incur because the case was needlessly extended. that's the comment "only the attorneys "made profit" in the case after the USSC ruling
