My guess is that the biggest job sector losing jobs are white collar jobs that AI is replacing. The trillions of dollars of investment in the US ((due to Trump's brilliant use of tariffs) will soon fill that void. Because the implication is that it would be better with the other, and dumb independents will likely shift their vote.
