Ukraine's Security Service strikes Russia's Vtorovo oil pumping station again
Roman Petrenko — 27 June, 11:27
The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) has struck Russia's Vtorovo oil pumping station, which supplies fuel to Moscow, for the second time in June.
Source: SSU
Details: The SSU's Special Group Alpha carried out strikes on the Vtorovo oil pipeline control station in Russia's Vladimir Oblast.
The SSU said the station is part of Transneft-Upper Volga JSC and is a key logistics hub for pumping light petroleum products to export ports and domestic consumers.
Diesel fuel is pumped via the station to the Moscow Ring Oil Products Pipeline and then on to major oil depots around Moscow. The station also supplies oil products for export through Baltic Sea ports.
Early reports from the SSU indicate that drones hit the facility's technical buildings.
Background: SSU drones previously attacked Vtorovo on 10 June.
