Wow, this is the first time in 17 years that the fundraising email has attacked Dems. They are really mad at the Dems who voted to end the shut down.

Eight corporate Senate Democrats just caved

quote:

Every Senate Democrat who joined Republicans to pass this resolution sold the American people out, and we should make sure they have no future in public office.

They ask for money to fund their opponents in the next Dem primaries.

I have a feeling Fetterman will run as a Republican next time. He is burning the bridges with the dems.

After 50 years have the Republicans finally got a spine. Crazy how mad Dems are that the Republicans are finally playing by their rules.

I think a bunch of the dems that voted for it are not seeking re-election,

Most of them are not up for reelection this cycle. They are safe for at least 2 years and it won't shock me if most of the left forgets about them in that time.

The dems wanted the ACA subsidies extended for another year, which would set it to expire September 2026. They know that republicans would have to either extend it again or shut the government down over it again, right before midterm elections. With the exception of Fetterman they were attempting to set a trap, that’s all there is to it IMO.

The republicans didn’t fall for it, that actually surprises me a little but good on them for finding a spine for once
