It wasn't just fireworks though he packed to the gills with kerosene and some propane tanks.

if the profile is accurate, this guy will have left a manifesto. it's going to be wild if it really is somehow related to New Orleans. at least this a-hole didn't kill a bunch of young people enjoying a NYE celebration.

I’ve never understood why people like this attack innocent people (9/11, etc). Their beef if with governments and politicians, not people going about their lives. I have a theory.

Only thing that makes sense is it was just a suicide. Because of his background, one would think if he really wanted to do terrorist damage, he would have. If he was involved with the guys in NOLA, he would have taught them how to make better IED's.

He likely didn’t understand the vehicle itself. He was probably trying to make a bigger statement with the Cybertruck and thought the larger batteries would have a larger reaction.

Holy shite, he was intelligence

Intelligence manager. I dunno if that's military. Anybody else know? I mean "manager" usually isn't mil spec verbiage.
edit- Thanks very much to Mizzoufan for letting me know that it really IS a military job title. Much appreciated

Even if so. I had a coworker who served as army intelligence. "Military intelligence." Yeah, he wasn't very bright.

Several reasons, not all apply.
They stupidly think that it's some kind of a psychological attack.
Civilians are easier to hit than mil or gov targets. (Don't get me started on soft mil targets. frick Democrats for that shite).

People were looking at his timeline and thinking he was likely short of retirement, but his SF time is around 19yrs so if he spent some time in the regular Army before going SF, he would be past the 20yr mark

Article said he graduated 2005 so no he wasn’t past 20

Yes it is, it’s a bullshite term thrown around in ranking positions wheee you aren’t the lead officer or enlisted, but they still want to give you some type of credit. Also when we make linkedin as it’s speaking civiliaj and prepping for a transition to that world we try to write to the civilian sector rather than utilize military verbiage
