I'm embarrassed. Josh isn't great but people fell for this Blanco shite.
It’s an understatement to say Josh pissed off a lot of very influential people in the area with his shenanigans

The people melting completely overvalue partisan politics at the level of a city like Lafayette
This lady’s 2A or abortion positions aren’t going to come into play when she’s deciding how to govern

Agreed. Although I feel like he rode a Trumpian wave into office. He was too aggressive with the grift too early. The heavy machinery company was absurd.

He feasted during the COVID restriction era

She changed her party affiliation to get elected. Do you actually think we going to trust any of her decisions??

Jan Swift Campaign - October 9
If you lie about your political party, what else are you lying about?
If you switch your political party to win a race, what else are you willing to do for the win?
Enough with these politicians trying to move up the political ladder at the expense of us!

I’d be curious to know more about why he was being ousted by Lafayette blue bloods.
Putting in a Blanco is pretty dumb. Must be that bad.

Those two cities aren’t remotely similar to Lafayette

For one he pissed off the owners of local dealerships by purchasing parish vehicles out of Hammond. He’s involved in a scandal and bribery over 3 million dollars being appropriated to the parish for a new mental health center. Problem is the local director of Human Services for Acadiana didn’t even ask for the funding from the state. He had no clue about this “hospital”. He’s also part of a scandal over a no bid project that, come to find out, was awarded to an entity with a direct conflict of interest. He also went to alcohol abuse rehab during his time as mayor president

I don’t think it was blue bloods who did him in. I think it was the rural periphery of the parish who didn’t turn out for him.
Here’s a map by precinct:

And we want to keep it that way. Democrat govt officials ruined those cities why would we want ours run the same way!
