Over 30 years ago, I had to put our beloved cocker spaniel down (single tap to back of head with .22) after his back half was run over by a pickup truck. It still haunts me today, and I’ve never considered it as an event that defines me.
Maybe her actions were necessary, but writing about it as a public figure, shows poor judgment.

It's just an odd thing to do. She tried to frame it in a way that shows she can make difficult decisions, but all she showed everyone is that she's an emotional toddler and an idiot.
If she had said what happened and admitted she learned from it and would handle it better today, I'd actually have some respect for her.
But at 52, she still hasn't learned the lesson I learned when I was 8.
