My parents, their parents, their parents, etc, all grew up poor farmers in South Louisiana.

My father, who barely graduate from HS, made something of himself and was able to retire early.

They still live in the same town where they are now a minority.

I'm a first-generation college graduate in my family. I've earned everything I've gotten, which saw me start my career with a job that barely paid above minimum wage.

Not to mention the fact that my career was nearly derailed once due to false charges of "racism" from idiots like you.

So, please explain to me, what exactly did this "advantage" do for my family?

It is OK. I already know the answer. I also know you will lie and you are a racist.

let's back up to my original statement that you left out considering that many people think it's ok to just "raise my kids the way I was raised". Not just ok but "that's the way it's done".

Isn't that what we're supposed to be doing? Making sure our kids can survive in a more sensitive yet inclusive (and therefore more competitive) world?

You are also too stupid to obtain a voter ID, or vote for a candidate without their party affiliation next to their name.

Who am I kidding. I could sit here and make a long list of things folks like him think you are too stupid to handle.

you don't understand, man. you just don't. I grew up poor too, but I also came to realize that I had advantages for being white in the south. I used to use and say the same stuff you're saying, but I grew past it to see things for the way they are.

Good luck.

What the hell does this even mean? My grandfather was a milkman. Died in a TB Sanitarium. My other grandfather drove a dump truck. Both grandmothers took in ironing and sold eggs for money. Where's the advantage in that?

So your white guilt is a silent burden? You aren’t helping the poor dumb dark skinned people that are so dumb they are disadvantaged? You should be ashamed.

nothing is stopping kids from playing cowboys and indians.

Anyway, I doubt there would be much desire to play the game though, since the game was based off the western craze we saw in the 50s-70s.

I would guess play Ninja now, instead.

Oh, and a parent determines 1 yo birthday party not the kid. Kevin Hart, whoever the frick he is, probably wanted the controversy.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: life in the US must not be that bad for people to bitch over such trivial shite. These are not real problems that are not worthy of people bitching about.

this isn't (that) hard.

assuming that you're white, your grandparents' choices for work was their decision based on circumstances. Whether or not those circumstances were unassisted by their lack of education is both their parents' fault or their (local) government's fault, considering that's who ran public schools back then. Anything beyond that is likely their own fault. But, make no mistake, there is dignity in all of work, whether you get paid less for being female or not.

Wait, I hit another speaking point! Why are women paid less than men? Mostly because they've been in the work force for less time. Wait, is that fair?

To both points, no it is not!

Am I making sense to you? Why are larger percentages of black people poor in America than white? Man, is that a multi-layered answer. But, it all stems from inequality.

As a white male, I have historically had economic, societal, and shite even religious freedoms longer than any other race (or females for that matter). Historically speaking, do you not think that creates a natural divide? How do you close that divide? Equality.

Equality does not happen over night, folks. It takes generations (to die off).

It's not true. Women make less only because of the professions they choose.

They had equality for 50 years.

no you haven't. Not unless you're a blatant racist.

Equality of outcomes? Will never happen

Equality of opportunity? We have that right now.

Did Don Lemon call Kevin Hart and ignorant negro who can't read yet? Did they try to trade him in the racial draft? Did MSNBC declare him an embarrassment to black people for having his own opinions?
