quote:FBI crime statistics say "HELLO!"
Are you implying these are innocent people? Or that black criminals should be allowed to walk freely amongst civil society?
If a certain segment of the population is committing a large percentage of the crime, it stands to reason that there would be more of that demographic incarcerated. But then again, who am I to point out logic....

If we had the time and looked through the cases of every single black person who's currently in jail/prison, what percentage do you think we would find to be wrongly incarcerated or innocent?
Its easy to make general statements like "there's way too many black people locked up" but unless you have evidence that its a bunch of innocent people locked up for no reason, all you're really doing is saying criminals should be let go because they're black.

and how did you come to this conclusion?
Were these new songs? did you study the lyrics?

Didn't he blame Trump's presence for his bad performance?

And we’re supposed to do what exactly?
Tell them how great they are and how we're terrible and owe them everything, give them free shite, reparations/money, give them high paying jobs they are unqualified for, do not prosecute them or incarcerate them for crimes they commit, wash their feet etc etc etc... and repeat with every generation of white people from here through eternity.
And they still won't be satisfied.

I never watch the halftime show. They have almost all been traditionally terrible, with the exception of a couple that I can recall from my 50+ years on this earth.

It was total horseshite and that is why many of us didn't get it. Because it was and is total horseshite. Progressives at their finest in serving horseshite.
Nothing more than a pimple on an ant's arse

However, America incarcerates more people per capita than ANY country on earth, vast majority of them black ppl. And poor.
The New Jim Crow, written by Michelle Alexander a decade plus ago, tackles this issue incredibly well.
But the myth that we incarcerate sweet, innocent, law abiding, non-violent people because they have dark skin is complete and utter bullshite. Maybe 65+ years ago that was true in certain parts of the country. But there is no "New Jim Crow." Black people and black culture has simply devolved into a culture of lawlessness that they celebrate... and simultaneously blame on white people. Look at the crime statistics. Black people are 25x more likely to murder a white person than a white person murder a black person. Black people that account for a single digit percentage of the U.S. population commit at least half of the murders... and an even higher percentage of violent crime in general.
The New Jim Crow my arse. Anyone espousing that shite can frick right off.

I was just posting about this on the other board.
I have a friend defending this crap after I suggested they should have had New Orleans rappers put on an actual show to get people hyped.
This was his response.
WTF? No, we don't need anything political at a unifying event. We should have had someone put on a show to entertain us all.

After a minute or two of not being able to understand the words, I took a bathroom break and got another beer. If there was a message to that, I missed it

Message was clear. Check out lyrics
It’s highlighting and keeping the ghetto mindset cool with the kids. Never growing past that culture but keeping them in

The industry can hate me, frick 'em all and they mama
How many opps you really got? I mean, it's too many options
I'm finna pass on this body, I'm John Stockton
Beat your arse and hide the Bible if God watchin'
Sometimes you gotta pop out and show niggas
Certified boogeyman, I'm the one that up the score with 'em
Walk him down, whole time, I know he got some ho in him
Pole on him, extort shite, bully Death Row on him
Say, Drake, I hear you like 'em young
You better not ever go to cell block one
To any bitch that talk to him and they in love
Just make sure you hide your lil' sister from him
They tell me Chubbs the only one that get your hand-me-downs
And Party at the party playin' with his nose now
And Baka got a weird case, why is he around?
Certified Lover Boy? Certified pedophiles
Wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, Dot, frick 'em up
Wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, I'ma do my stuff
Why you trollin' like a bitch? Ain't you tired?
Tryna strike a chord and it's probably A minor

Did Cole foul, I don't know why you still pretendin'
What is the owl? Bird niggas and burnt bitches, go
The audience not dumb
Shape the stories how you want, hey, Drake, they're not slow
Rabbit hole is still deep, I can go further, I promise
Ain't that somethin'? B-Rad stands for bitch and you Malibu most wanted
Ain't no law, boy, you ball boy, fetch Gatorade or somethin'
Since 2009, I had this bitch jumpin'
You niggas'll get a wedgie, be flipped over your boxers
What OVO for? The "Other Vaginal Option"? Pussy

Might write this for the doctorate, tell the pop star quit hidin'

Then get his face tatted like a bitch apologizin'
I'm glad DeRoz' came home, y'all didn't deserve him neither
From Alondra down to Central, **** better not speak on Serena
And your homeboy need subpoena, that predator move in flocks
That name gotta be registered and placed on neighborhood watch
I lean on you niggas like another line of Wock'
Yeah, it's all eyes on me, and I'ma send it up to Pac, ayy
Put the wrong label on me, I'ma get 'em dropped, ayy
Sweet Chin Music and I won't pass the aux, ayy
How many stocks do I really have in stock? Ayy
One, two, three, four, five, plus five, ayy
Devil is a lie, he a 69 God, ayy
Freaky-arse niggas need to stay they arse inside, ayy
Roll they arse up like a fresh pack of 'za, ayy
City is back up, it's a must, we outside, ayy
When you click on the lyrics in Genius it opens into another world of soap Opera...

If a 10+ paragraph explanation of the Super Bowl halftime performance is required for the vast majority of fans to understand it or get it, that is a colossal failure of the artist, act, lyrics, symbolism, etc
Not to mention the absurdity of hidden meanings in a lyrical act in which the average normal fan could not understand one word Lamar sang.

Agreed, and the top song of his right now has the infamous forbidden N word numerous times
I guess he omitted during the SB? or, nobody could understand anyways?
He's probably a good guy, but dang that N word stuff is just trash in my book, if that's art, and wins grammys?
No wonder , ah never mind, I am just going to get myself in trouble

I didn’t understand why this artist is considered so popular , as he’s won 14 Grammys, etc..
He's not popular they just say that he is. You have to look at who runs the music industry and then it will all make sense.
Hint, it's the same people that run all of the media.
