I’m not so sure. If McConnell knows he has the floor votes no matter Ford or now Ramirez, this appointment may get to a confirmation vote yet. It’ll be a close run thing.

It would be a shame to crucify Kavanaugh out of this. However if this leads to a backlash against Democrats in November it could be a long term good thing. Then come back after the midterms with a greater majority in the Senate and confirm the most anti Roe vs Wade candidate from that original list of Trumps and tell the Democrats this is how things are going to be run for the next two years now sit down and shut your asses up. Elections have consequences.
