The folding of the flag and delivery to the family was very moving. I probably shouldn't have but for a brief time all I could think of are those scumbag nfl millionaires kneeling during the anthem. Fack'em all...
Don’t recall thinking about football or protesters or politics at all at any of those wakes and funerals.

Thanks I just did a search for Taking Chance, and found it. It is on HBO and I am going to watch it now. It is an old movie how'd I miss it?

I've been to several military funerals. Some for my brother Marines, some with family for other vets. There are very few more moving events you can attend than the ceremonies for these brave men. If you've ever been, you know. If you haven't...keep your mouth shut until you do. Just grow up for once in your life and hope, when your day comes, you will be treated with the respect these men earned.

Did it offend you when they kneeled to hand the flag to the spouse?

My Dad's best friend retired from the Air Force and had a full Military Funeral.
It took them a few tries to get the Flag folded right.
At the moment I was thinking how it looked similar to how a Paper Football is folded.
It was a tough funeral. He and my Dad had bought Burial Plots at the same time.He was buried with his Head at my Dad's feet.
Some dust got in my eyes watching that.
