I just jumped on it. I know a lot of you say to dump it, but sometimes habits take a few tries

(Edit: this is to get off FakeBook for those amounts of time. I will be off of it until at least Monday night.)

Not for the next 48 hours.

One of my kids set it up years ago, and I got hooked. It is poison.

I know people who need the 5 minute challenge. 2 days? They would not make it.

Passed the 48 month mark in March. My life is better without it.

I only got Facebook to keep up with a friend group scattered throughout the country. I became more active then stopped posting with the exception of a few birthday wishes and comments. I recently deactivated it and I haven’t missed it at all. If I go back it will be under a new account to keep access to a few informative groups.

I’m going to sound like an AA attendee (not that I don’t have complete respect for AA attendees).

But awkward admission ....

I quit FB a little over a year ago.
For the first week or two I was in withdrawal.
I know! How gross is that?!?
I didn’t realize how much scrolling I was doing until I quit cold turkey.

About two weeks later, I could breathe easier, and I was happier.
I sound like an infomercial; but it’s the honest to goodness truth.

I’m still on Instagram, and I’m a fan of their platform.
But it’s a totally different medium (e.g., photos vs diatribes).
