Yeah so if you have a kid born with a heart defect

You realize this is not a pre-existing condition if the mother has health insurance, right?

The child is automatically covered under the mother's policy for the first 30 days (I think it's 30 days). If the mother does not have insurance, a child born with a heart defect will likely qualify for either Medicaid or whatever the state in question calls their Child with Special Healthcare Needs program.

That's why you get a job with a decent size company. I have always had to have a job at a decent size company so my pre-existing injury would be cover. People need to grow up and start doing what's best for them and not expect someone else to always help them . I want to back to insurance before Obamacare.

This is probably the dumbest thing I've seen on this message board since I can remember, which is really saying something.

Yeah man, shite on trying to start a small business. The American dream is dead anyway, right? Just jump into the corporate gears and go along as a good little citizen.

I mean wow. This board loves to point out political hypocrisy so much that it completely clouds critical thought. Inability to evaluate multiple sides of issues is synonymous with ignorance. Why is it such heresy to admit that these politicians are doing the same shite as their predecessors? It's always, "well Obama did this." Yeah, no shite. Lying politicians were the exact same before November as they are now. They just hopped to the other side of the aisle.

Now, you have a talk show host that calls out a politician for blatantly lying to the American public, and frankly does so in a manner that started at least relatively nonpartisan, and he's an idiot for it.

Some people literally cannot be helped.

Personally I'd love for Shapiro to go on Kimmel's show and debate him on this. They both have a child that suffers from the same heart condition and the same doctor operated on both of their kids. Both are friends with Adam Carolla, so I don't see anything that would prevent him from going on the show.

Agreed. The issue is undoubtedly personal for both even though their platforms remove them from the plight of the common, less wealthy citizen, but I'd like to see the discourse.
